LifeWay Publishes First-of-its-Kind Chinese Bible

LifeWay Christian Resources, one of the world’s largest providers of Christian products and services, recently printed a modern translation of the New Testament in Chinese. It is reported to be the first time Scripture was directly translated from the original Greek version to Chinese.

Audio Bible Wins 'Christian Book of the Year' Award

For the first time in the 30-year history of the Christian Book Awards, a Bible and an audio product has won the highest honor. On Sunday, during the International Christian Retail Show (ICRS) in Orlando, Fla., the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) announced the six category winners of the annual awards as well as the “Christian Book of the Year,” which this year went to The Word of Promise New Testament Audio Bible.

Gay Man Files $70M Suit Against Bible Publishers Over 'Homosexual' Verses

A homosexual man has filed a $70 million lawsuit against Bible publishers Zondervan and Thomas Nelson, alleging that their version of the Bible that refers to homosexuality as a sin violates his constitutional rights and has caused him emotional distress.

NIV Bible Tops List by Evangelical Leaders

The New International Version of the Bible is by far the most preferred translation of the Scripture, according to a new survey of U.S. evangelical leaders. More than 65 percent of the participating leaders named the NIV as their preferred Bible in a survey conducted by the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) in light of the NIV’s 30th anniversary this year.
